Kwame Thompson is a civil litigation attorney with 18 years of experience in the substantive areas of torts and contracts. Areas of concentration include personal injury, criminal law, and business contracts litigation. His goals include providing litigation services to individual plaintiffs and consumers and providing those individuals with corporate-style legal services. Thompson received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. His pre-medical background has prepared him with the knowledge to better represent his clients who have suffered medical injuries. In 1999 he graduated with his Juris Doctorate from Washington University School of Law. Thompson is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Georgia. After Mr. Thompson obtained his Juris doctorate, he joined the prestigious law firm of Bryan Cave, LLP. As an associate in the corporate transactions group, he gained experience drafting complex complaints, petitions, answers, and motions for various clients. He has acquired tremendous expertise in litigation, mediation, and arbitration facets. In addition, Mr. Thompson is an adjunct instructor at Atlanta Technical College (Voted Best Junior College in America by Washington Monthly Magazine). Thompson teaches Civil Litigation and Contracts in the Paralegal Studies Program. He also holds several boards and commissions appointments by the Honorable Shirly Franklin, Mayor, the City of Atlanta, and the Honorable John Eaves, Fulton County Georgia Chairman. He is also a hearing officer for the Atlanta Police Department, Vehicles for Hire Commission, and the City of Atlanta Procurement Appeals Commission. Thompson is also an appointed Atlanta Beltline Tax Advisory District member.
